STEPPING OUT ...................

Our team in St. Petersburg   have found that churches usually run youth ministry for young people over 18 but had no programmes for teens 12 – 17, so they have started a training project “Training for youth leaders”.  They plan to support the young leaders by supplying materials for training and ask for prayer to encourage them.

Folk are from the church “Conciliation” and have just finished teaching the Rock Solid programme.  They now plan to open a club in the city centre.  In that area there are a lot of children from Tajikistan and our team will need great wisdom and love to start this work.

The main Christian youth newspaper in St. Petersburg is called “Context” and our team help to publish this free resource.  2000 copies were distributed in October and there has been very good feedback.

Knowing how important it is to develop new Christian youth bands they recently organised a festival and invited 8 new bands to play , four will go on to play at “Advent” – the main Christian festival in St. Petersburg.
